Salary: £29,168 pro rate (36 hours)

Location: Glasgow (remote working possible)

Deadline: Tuesday 1st November (9am)

LGBT Health and Wellbeing promotes the health, wellbeing, and equality of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) adults in Scotland. It provides support, services, and information to improve mental and emotional wellbeing, reduce social isolation and promote community inclusion.

We are seeking to recruit a qualified, enthusiastic and experienced counsellor to join our Glasgow Trans Support Project.

Working with 2 part-time Development Workers, you will be responsible for ensuring trans and nonbinary people in Glasgow have access to a high-quality counselling service that addresses their specific needs. This will be achieved by providing one-to-one support to our community members, and supporting a team of volunteer counsellors to deliver weekly appointments.

The Counselling Coordinator (Trans Support) is an exciting new role within LGBT Health and Wellbeing, and an exciting opportunity to help us to deliver our ambitious vision for health, wellbeing and equality for LGBT+ communities across Scotland.

We work with the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, including non-binary, queer, intersex and asexual people (LGBTQIA+), as well as those questioning their sexual orientation and/or gender identity and those who do not use labels for either.
