Trans support

Support for trans people, including non-binary people in Scotland

At LGBT Health and Wellbeing, you can access a variety of confidential and free support around gender identity and transitioning, including a range of social spaces to connect with other trans people.

Individual support

We can help you find out more about gender identity services and information. Whether you have questions about transitioning or looking for a space to explore your gender identity, we can help find the right kind of support for you. Get in touch here.

In addition, if you are looking for emotional support or information around your gender identity or transition services, you can reach out to our LGBT Helpline Scotland.

Social support

We offer a mix of online and in-person social events for trans and non-binary people aged 16 and over.

This includes a range of trans community groups set up and managed by trans community members (with support from us), providing a mix of online and in-person spaces to connect with peers.

You can browse our programme of trans events on our What’s On page.

Can I access your services?

We welcome all trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming folks over 16, as well as people with trans history, those who cross-dress or are exploring their gender.  Anyone in or travelling to Scotland (Lothian and Glasgow) can access our services.
